Wenger's future at Arsenal will be decided after FA Cup final

Arsenal players keen on Sanchez stay, says Koscielny Wenger's future at Arsenal will be decided after FA Cup final

Arsene Wenger has already threatened rival clubs that he will make Sanchez stay at the club for another campaign - even if he does not commit to a new contract.

Arsenal still need either Manchester City or Liverpool to falter on the final day if they are to qualify for next season's Champions League but, thanks to Sanchez, they have at least taken the battle to the very last.

Despite their poor season, Arsenal are in the FA Cup final, and have a date with rivals Chelsea next Saturday.

Wenger's future at the club is uncertain.

"One of them is, of course, what is happening with the manager, the future, the players who have to come in, the renewal of contracts".

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss Sunday's game with a hamstring problem while Laurent Koscielny is a doubt due to a calf injury.

His side kept alive their faint hopes of qualifying for Europe's elite football club competition, as a double from Alexis Sanchez clinched a 2-0 win over relegated Sunderland on Tuesday night.

"The thing is, the next season they will be in the Europa League it looks like, if the results go the way they should".

However, the veteran tactician was still not giving any clues as to which way it will go as he refused to confirm whether or not this weekend's clash with Everton would be his last in charge at the Emirates.

At the conclusion of the Premier League season, Wenger will then prepare his players for a third FA Cup final in five years. After that, what happens to me is less important.

As well as facing supporter protests, Wenger has also found an increased criticism from a host of former Arsenal players.

They point to Wenger's track-record of 19 consecutive years of Champions league football after 20 successive top-four finishes in England's top-flight league. Following ill-fated spells at Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth and Gabala, the former England global has now found himself in La Liga with Granada, but will be managing in La Liga 2 next season (should he stay on as manager) after the club's relegation at the end of this season.

Speaking in his autobiography Sober, serialised in the Sun, he said: "Perhaps Arsene thought I might be too challenging for him".

"I don't know whether it would be successful or not, but I think it would be positive to beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final", he added.
