The Game Capture mode of applications such as OBS and XSplit is not supported. Bungie has made clear that to help ensure that every player will have a fair shot at fun and glory in Destiny 2 on PC. But other methods will work, including hardware capture through Elgato or AVerMedia. Windowed Mode/Borderless Fullscreen does not have these restrictions, and you can use OBS and XSplit here instead. Namely streaming he game in Windowed mode.

Bungie also says that certain overlay features such as "Who's talking" and framerate data are also not supported by Destiny 2. Bungie revealed today that it's going to make streaming the PC version of Destiny 2 something of a headache, but it may not be for the reasons you think.

In a recent blog post, the developer explained how they would regulate third-party applications. It includes the checking of the functionality of "Destiny 2" on a new gaming platform to allow PC players to have the first dibs on the game, as well as to open up a venue to incorporate added surprises for the final edition of the best-selling shooter video game's sequel.

Still, if you were planning to be part of the big beta hype wave and show off the new PC updates to the game, you may want to doublecheck over Bungie's recommended settings above. Gamers can take on Destiny 2's first mission, Homecoming, and check out some of the game's cinematics.

Some overlays for chat and hardware monitoring will also be blocked from functioning. The game resist attempts by third-party applications to insert code into the game client.

The start of the beta period of "Destiny 2" for PC players is reportedly scheduled on Monday, Aug. 28, for those who pre-ordered the game, while the public will be able to enjoy it on Aug. 29.
