Kenyans were Friday waiting with bated breath for the final results of a hotly contested presidential poll between incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Preliminary results on Thursday had put Kenyatta at 54.2 percent of the vote and Odinga at 44.9 percent.
Kenyan opposition official James Orengo calls the country's election process a "charade" and a "disaster" as Kenyans await results from Tuesday's vote.
Global observers have praised the handling of the election, with the European Union saying it had seen no sign of manipulation despite opposition complaints and scattered protests.
But Odinga supporters, many of them members of his Luo tribe or other allied tribes, said they are being robbed of yet another election. Odinga also lost the 2007 election, which was followed by violence fueled by ethnic tensions that killed more than 1,000 people. The National Super Alliance (NASA) has alleged massive rigging from shortly after the end of Tuesday's election, and had earlier asked the election commission (IEBC) to hold off on announcing results until their concerns could be addressed.
