Lady Gaga has revealed that she is planning to take a break from the music industry.

While Gaga has moved on since then, now dating agent Christian Carino, her new documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, brings her back to her days with the Chicago Fire star. "It's hard. But it's liberating too".

"So the thing with me and Madonna, for example, is that I admired her always", she tells a friend.

"I had a rare opportunity to create a portrait of an artist with such an open heart and mind".

Lady Gaga revealed the reason for her breakup with actor Taylor Kinney in her new documentary. She said that her starring role in the upcoming Bradley Cooper film "A Star Is Born", led to their split.

The documentary, which was directed by Chris Moukarbel, also gives an unfiltered look into the "Bad Romance" singer's life off the stage, including her goddaughter's baptism and a trip to Walmart to purchase her own CDs.

'Do I look pathetic?' she sobbed.

In the beginning of the film, Gaga admits that they are not in the best place. "I'm just party to it because it's my life", she was quoted as saying.

Gaga teared up speaking to reporters about her health issues. I sold 10 million [records] and lost Matt [Williams]. I did a movie and lose Taylor. "For young women and girls, I think (it's) a story of what it means to be both powerful and vulnerable, and be generous".

"But that's not to say there weren't extreme highs", she said of stardom. Gaga mentioned it was important to her to show that even though she's a celebrity, her life isn't flawless.

"I've never really done a lifetime achievement award or a performance to celebrate my career", she says.
