As AppleInsider points out, having additional devices with Face ID could help Apple convince developers to build the feature into their apps. Additionally, those companies may drop plans to put fingerprint sensors underneath displays, which Apple was reportedly trying to do with the iPhone X.

Apple is likely to bring its Face ID facial recognition technology to the next iPad Pro, according to reports on Monday.

Apple's newest smartphone released, the iPhone 8 Plus, had not been out for long when a number of customers around the world reported that their devices had cracked open, apparently due to the expanding of their batteries.

Apple's iPhone X just might be the biggest smartphone launch of 2017.

Here's another iPhone X sighting from Reddit.

The world will get its first taste of Apple's Face ID tech when the iPhone X is released on November 3.

"We expect Apple's major promotion of facial recognition related applications will encourage the Android camp to also dedicate more resources to developing hardware and facial recognition applications", Kuo wrote. The device featured on the largest amount of rumors and leaks on the rumor mill.

iPhone fans can easily tell when someone is using an iPhone X. So can iPhone haters.

It's not clear what the fate of the Home button and Touch ID will be now that Face ID is gaining prominence.

The Animoji seamlessly and fluidly working with the A11 Bionic, the TrueDepth Camera System to capture and analyze over 50 different facial muscle movements, then animates the user expressions in a dozen different emojis.

But all this cutting-edge technology also associated with a staggering retail price point with the iPhone X the first flagship phone from the Cupertino to be retailed £at $999 for a base model. One of these, of a "super-cycle" is on the mind of a lot of analysts.
