Sylvester Stallone will be appearing as a guest star in the next season of "This is Us". 2015's Creed was a masterful expansion of the world, introducing Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed (son of Apollo) and a new, more socially conscious outlook on what it means to be a modern underdog.

After the first film's success both critically and commercially, it was only a matter of time before a sequel was announced. Michael B. Jordan is a bona fide star, and we know the two have chemistry from the first Creed.

Sylvester Stallone is returning to his most famous character for another round.

For the 71-year-old Stallone - who initially resisted starring in "Creed" - the reinvention of the franchise that launched his career for a new generation has been a pleasant surprise. So far Coogler, as well as the film's producer MGM, have yet to issue a comment on the recent announcement by Stallone. Part of this is because the film has spent the last two years without a director, however, the project how now moved forward in that particular area.

Creed 2 doesn't have a release date just yet, but keep checking back for more updates as this feature continues to make its way through development!
