The iOS 11 update will brick thousands of older apps that haven't been updated to support 64-bit processors. If the bug has been affecting you, go grab iOS 11.1.1 to rid yourself of the issue.

iOS 11.1.1 is now available for the iPhone and iPad, and it focuses on fixing two specific bugs. Users must first apply their credit or debit cards to Apple's Wallet app before proceeding with the Apple Pay Cash. Instead of seeing an "i" you'll see the keyboard autocorrect to the letter "A" with a symbol. Here's a look at the most important new iOS 11.1 features and iOS 11.1.1 fixes.

The new update also fixed an issue where "Hey Siri" - which alerts Apple's voice assistant - stopped working. Were you affected by the issue?

Haven't upgraded to iOS 11?

Before releasing the update, Apple suggested a workaround. However, the highlight of the public beta 2 is the Apple Pay Cash feature.

Apple's heavily-touted Venmo rival will enable contacts to send and receive cash, with funds stored on an virtual Apple Pay Cash debit card. The new features also allow iMessage to detect when someone tells the user money is owed during a conversation. Users will be able to send cash to others with their Watch by finding Apple Pay on the Message app. The full-year course has been designed by Apple itself to help get students started on iOS app development, specifically using Apple's own Swift programming language.
