Last week, famed rapper, Meek Mill was sentenced to 2 to 4 years behind bars for repeatedly violating his parole, reports say.

Sources from the site say the Federal Bureau of Investigation have been monitoring the Meek proceedings for a while now, and they're looking into Judge Brinkley's possible missuse of power.

Unless she modifies or vacates Mill's sentence, Brinkley will be required to write an opinion for the appeals court explaining her reasons for sending him to prison.

Brinkley's harsh sentencing was relayed, despite the prosecutors insisting there be no jail time, arguing that Meek had grown as a person and been drug-free since the top of the year.

The source continued, 'Mack had previously told Meek how he 'knows the judge and he could help him with his case'. This is an investigation looking into a possible extortionate demand.

The first filing Tuesday - a day after hundreds of supporters met outside the city Criminal Justice Center demanding Mill's release - asked Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Genece E. Brinkley to disqualify herself from further involvement his case and allow a new judge to reconsider Mill's prison sentence. He called Mill, who was arrested for a fight in a St. Louis airport in March and for popping wheelies on his dirt bike without a helmet in August, a "good son, a good father, and a loyal friend".

"So this practice of jailing people when you feel like it against the recommendation of your own constituents and in this case it was a district attorney and it was his probation officer-that's got to stop".

Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin has written a letter to the judge.

Brinkley also apparently turned up to Meek's community service, which is unheard of. However, Mack denies these claims.

Mill's attorney, Joe Tacopina, told Page Six the judge showed "enormous bias", including requesting that Mill sign with Philadelphia music figure Charlie Mack and drop Roc Nation, who was his current manager.

Tacopina accused Brinkley of "taking an inappropriate personal interest in (Meek Mill) that goes above and beyond her role as a judge".

McMonagle said Brinkley has 30 days to respond to the motions filed Tuesday.
